Temperature Quilts

One of the latest trends in quilting
is to make Quilts that record the temperature
To display the highs and lows of the year
Everyday record the high temperature
and the chilly cool one too.
It's really not that difficult to do.

Then assign a colour, any colour
For every degree
That is common in your vicinity.
If your region has wide variations,
you can use 10 degrees
That's simpler to pick colours initially

Most sewers use cool colours for the cooler temp'atures
Blues, greens and purples, like the cold
And warm colours for the hotter days.
Reds, oranges , yellows and gold
Achieves a colourful quilt to behold.

All you need to do is find
A two colour block
Then start sewing right away.
But the block sizes should be very small
because you make one block for everyday
you will make 365.

When its cold outside
You will always have a warm quilt at night
To cozy up be side a lovely fire.
In the summertime you can use your quilt
To picnic outside
And remind you of the time
you made this quilt.
